Thanks to donors like you, ICW has proven its model. In response to the 4 stages of our model – Earn Trust, Build Hope, Bridge Social Capital, and Sustain Economic Mobility – recidivism rates drop from 88% in the first stage to 8.2% in the final stage. ICW’s most conservative social return on investment is 16.5X. This doesn’t even begin to capture the holistic return, including cost on health care system, the full impacts of gun violence, total cost of judicial system, and impact on family members.
Additionally, ICW has been nationally-recognized by ESPN and in a 90-second promo video. Recently, MacArthur Genius award-winning economist Raj Chetty cited ICW in his research, which showed that social capital has an outsized impact on an individual’s economic mobility. ICW is shown as an example of a model that works, proving the success of our apprenticeship program. We were featured for this research on NPR’s Planet Money and Radio Boston. Recently, CEO & Founder Jon Feinman was also recently appointed by President Biden to the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, & Nutrition.
